SPRING was a business accelerator that supported businesses that bring life-enhancing products and services to adolescent girls and young women living in East Africa and South Asia.
Participants received nine months of world-class technical expertise, including human-centred design boot camps, investment-readiness support and mentorship
With the support of UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Nike Foundation and Girl Effect, SPRING helped its businesses secure over £25 million in investment to date.
As SPRING’s Investment Director, Catalyst At Large connected entrepreneurs with investors, investment readiness tools, advisers, and other collaborators who are helping them build their businesses and grow their impact.
One of Catalyst at Large’s last projects for SPRING was to co-create a toolkit on how to invest in businesses that positively impact the lives of girls and young women, sharing their learnings from the project so far with other investors who recognize the social and economic power of these investments.
